A Dentist's Personal Brand: Becoming Recognizable and Attracting Patients Through Expertise
Category: Marketing and Management
Instructor(s): Elena Chetyrkina
Course structure: Lessons: 4 lessons | Duration: 1 h 22 min
Course overview
In our time, professionalism and diplomas alone are no longer enough for a clinic or office to be booked weeks in advance. Patients buy expertise through trust, and trust is formed long before a person crosses the threshold of a medical center — at the moment they visit the doctor's page on the Internet.
This course is a step-by-step practical guide for physicians and clinic leaders on creating a strong personal brand. Without pomp and “successful success” you will learn how to properly package an account, define your target audience, and find points of intersection with the patient. You will master 5 types of medical content, learn to write posts that sell your expertise, and receive a clear 14-day action plan and a development map for the entire year.
After completing the master class the physician will be able to:
— Formulate their professional positioning and key distinctions from colleagues
— Define strengths and expert topics that can become the foundation of a personal brand
— Shape a clear and coherent image of the physician for patients and the professional community
— Build a system of expert communications through content that preserves the physician's status
— Create an individualized personal brand development map for the coming year
— Avoid common mistakes that hinder the development of a physician's expert reputation
— Begin using tools that allow turning expertise into a steady stream of inquiries and professional opportunities.

Course lessons
Lesson 1. The New Reality of Medicine: Why Every Good Doctor Needs a Personal Brand
We will start by analyzing how patient behavior has changed. You will understand why word-of-mouth in its pure form no longer provides the necessary flow of appointments and how the digital environment affects a doctor's status. We will examine the structure of a personal brand in detail and prove that regularly maintaining social networks is not a waste of time, but a powerful asset that protects against burnout, increases the value of your practice, and makes you the leading expert in the eyes of your audience.
— Paradigm shift: why in modern realities it is not enough to be simply a highly qualified specialist
— Psychology of choice: how modern patients actually look for and choose their doctor
— Anatomy of a doctor's personal brand: synergy of a personal website, clinic portal pages, review aggregators, and social networks
— Social networks as the main tool for forming impeccable reputation and trust
— Key advantages and business effect of maintaining social networks for a practicing doctor.
Lesson 2. Packaging Strategy: Defining Your Target Patient and Crafting the Doctor's SVP
This lesson is entirely devoted to the fundamentals of marketing. Before posting photos and writing texts, you need to understand who you are doing it for. We will go through 4 practical steps: we will describe your target patient in detail, find your unique strengths as a clinician and locate points of contact with the audience. The lesson will culminate in developing your SVP – a unique value proposition formulated in one powerful phrase that immediately explains to anyone who visits the profile why they should come to you.
— How to run a doctor's social media so that they form expert status and convert into real appointment bookings
— Account packaging: a step-by-step development of an individual personal brand strategy
— The main test: one critical question that a properly packaged profile must answer, and methods of leading the patient to the correct answer
— Practice №1. Deep understanding of your target patients
— Practice №2. Creating a detailed avatar (description) of the ideal patient
— Finding the doctor's unique advantage and differentiating from colleagues in the field
— Practice №3. Highlighting the doctor's unique features: key competencies and strong professional sides
— Practice №4. Identifying emotional and rational points of intersection between the doctor and their audience
— SVP (Single Value Proposition) formula: creating one most important, on-target phrase about the doctor.
Lesson 3. Anatomy of the Ideal Profile: Design Rules and 5 Types of Content
We move on to visuals and texts. In the third lesson we will analyze the "under the microscope" design of your page: from username to pinned posts. You will learn how to make it so a patient can book an appointment in one click. We will examine in detail 5 types of content that should alternate in a healthy blog, and provide a universal scheme for writing posts. In the practical part of the lesson we will directly analyze one of the common questions from your patients on the fly and package it into an ideal, engaging text.
— Visual and textual design of the doctor's profile: rules for choosing an account name, a selling name and a catchy description (bio)
— Ergonomics of contact: how to properly set up contacts for booking and create an effective post-button (pinned message)
— Systematic account management: getting rid of chaos in publications
— 5 key types of content required for a medical blog
— Balance in the feed: how to translate hard expertise and provide useful information without being tedious
— Proper structure of a medical post that holds attention from the first to the last word
— Practicum: learning to answer patients' frequent questions using a conversion-oriented text structure.
Lesson 4. Promotion Roadmap: 10 Ready Topics, Warm-Up Sequences, and a Yearlong Growth Plan
The final lesson is your guide to promotion and retaining momentum. Together we will create a ready-made content plan of 10 fail-safe topics that are interesting to patients of any specialization. You will learn how modern medical progress narratives work, and understand why 500 loyal subscriber-patients are better than 50,000 inflated “bots.” We will analyze free and paid methods of promoting a blog in current realities, fix a sprint plan for the first two weeks, and build a larger roadmap for the development of your brand for the whole year.
