Course overview
When you are new to digital dentistry, the learning curve can be a bit tricky. One of the most cost effective ways to get into this niche of dentistry is surgical guides. They are so easy to make (with a little help) and are quite profitable. Bring your surgical guide fabrication in house and have better surgeries for less money. This course will touch on a variety of topics meant to get you comfortable with basic surgical guides.
Here are some of the things we cover:
- Obtaining good records with instruction on intraoral scanning (I use the Trios) and tips to get better CBCTs.
- Aligning STL files to set up for planning implant placement (we use Blue Sky Plan...free software).
- Learn to make a tooth-supported guide as well as an edentulous guide.
- Tips on 3D printing in-house, cleaning, and curing
- Finishing the surgical guide so you are ready to go.
